We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Data Reporting Specialist to join our team. This position combines billing operations, data reporting, accounting support, and audit-related work in a role that is critical to the company’s financial and operational success. 

Position Summary 

The Billing and Data Reporting Specialist is responsible for processing monthly billing activities, preparing reports, reconciling financial data, supporting regulatory reporting, and assisting with audit and accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring accuracy in financial and operational reporting. 

Telecommunications experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with strong analytical, accounting, billing, or reporting experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Process monthly customer and carrier billing activities. 

• Reconcile billing records with accounts receivable and investigate discrepancies. 

• Prepare recurring internal management reports and external regulatory reports. 

• Analyze billing, revenue, and usage data to identify trends and variances. 

• Support audit activities and maintain accurate supporting documentation. 

• Assist with bank reconciliations, cash reconciliation, and auto-payment processing. 

• Work with software vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes. 

• Maintain accurate billing data and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. 

• Support ongoing reporting modernization and data improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications 

Required 

• Experience in billing, accounting, finance, data analysis, reporting, or a related field. 

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. 

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and work independently. 

• Effective written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred 

• Telecommunications industry experience. 

• Experience with accounts receivable or billing systems. 

• Experience supporting audits or regulatory reporting. 

• Familiarity with databases, SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools. 

• Experience working with large datasets and recurring business reports.
