Meet Our Team
Community Service Is Our Thing
Everyone has a hobby... and community service is ours! Whether it's picking up trash, teaching community education classes, or sponsoring youth activites, we're here to support our friends and neighbors.
We're proud to adopt three adopt-a-highway sections in Albion, Malad and Arco. Employees of ATC maintain these two mile stretches of highway both in the Spring and in the Fall.
Customer Appreciation Day
Who doesn't love a PARTY? Each summer, we look forward to hosting a community-wide Customer Appreciation Day in one of our local exchange areas. We provide dinner, entertainment, and of course, awesome door PRIZES! It's just our way of giving back to the people who keep us in business.
Community Education Classes
Whether you're curious about inside networking or have questions about the mysterious 'cloud', we're here to help you make heads or tails of it all. Each year, we host a FREE community education class centered around technology topics that are important to you. We aim to break down the jargon and deliver you hands-on, relevant training to help you become more at ease with the technology in your world.
Each school year, we sponsor a 'Hometown Game Night' at each of our local high schools. We love shaking hands and brushing shoulders with the youth in our communities. It's a true pleasure to spend time handing out FREE popcorn, prizes, and donations to our youth programs.
We love providing valuable 911 information to Kindergarten and First grade students in the Albion, Arco, Malad and surrounding area elementary schools. Each fall students gather together in classrooms, libraries or gymnasiums to hear the Do's and Don'ts for calling 911. All students are provided with a 911 package of coloring books, stickers, book marks and valuable information to take home.

Explore Our History
ATC Communications (Albion Telephone Company) is a family-owned and operated communications company nestled in the heart of Albion, Idaho. Our company originated back in 1929, with only 18 magento crank telephones, a handful of broken down pine poles, and a few hundred feet of iron wire. Since this was before the invention of landline dial tones, "Grandma Breslin" personally sat at the switchboard 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. She became fondly known as "Central" to everyone in the area, as she connected calls for over 35 years. During this time, she also served as the town's only nurse, providing medical aid to anyone in need. Grandma Breslin's caring nature and spirit of service are the foundation on which ATC continues its operations today.
In 1954, our company expanded telephone lines into the outlying communities of Almo, Elba, and Malta. In 1965, Grandma Breslin's legacy was left in the hands of her grandson, ODeen Redman. Under ODeen's direction, the company continued to grow and expand, with the purchase of the Holbrook Exchange in 1967 and the addition of the Raft River Exchange in 1976.
In October of 1996, Albion Telephone Company purchased the exchanges in Arco, Howe, Moore, Mackay, and Malad from US West. Just a few short years later, we changed our name to ATC Communications.
ATC today serves over 3,000 subscribers in a 4,000 square mile area, covering five counties and two states. Our company still operates under family ownership and management with ODeen's wife, Darla Redman, serving as President, ODeen's brother, Barry, serving as Treasurer, and ODeen's son, Rich Redman, as Vice President and General Manager.
Starting in 2014, we began a multi-year project to replace all copper lines with fiber optics in the entire exchange of Albion and Malad. In 2017, the fiber project extended into the Arco service area as well. ATC Communications now provides high-speed Internet to over 99% of our customers and offers speeds of up to 1 gbps.
